ⴱⴰⴱⴰ means papa in Amazigh (Berber). My dad was from the Indigenous Peoples of North Africa. Every day, I would call him on my way to work, to a dinner with friends, when I am about to board a plane, or when I just felt like going for a walk. He always joked saying he is my free taxi. he really was. now that he is not here anymore, i decided to record voicemails of what i want to tell him but can't and film it. this is an ongoing series of my messages to my papa from when I lost him (November) to November of the following year.
